New albums are being released this fall from some of the R&B world's biggest stars. Mariah Carey, Usher, and now Amerie are all slated to release upcoming projects this fall.
Mariah Carey's new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" should see a September release with the song "Hate U," that i mentioned the other day as the first single. In addition, reports have stated that Timbaland is doing production on the unfinished product.
Usher's new album doesn't have much buzz or information surrounding it. Press release have only indicated that project will be entitled "Monster." I have a feeling this album will be pushed back since Usher is a perfectionist and never releases albums within one to two years back to back.
Amerie's new album, entitled "In Love & War," according to Billboard, is due out in fall. This set will be her first release since she recently signed to Def Jam after leaving Columbia after the failure of her third album, "Because I Love It," where it was only released in the UK. The lead single is entitled "Why R U." L.A. Reid believes the song is going to be a major hit because he had thoughts about dropping Amerie from Def Jam. However, this very song changed his mind. It will be interesting to see where things go for her.

okay so I am VERY excited to see what Amerie will do with this upcoming album! i really liked the first two and wondered why she had dropped off the face of the earth. i also did not know she had a third album. i was surprised when i read that! why would they only release it in the UK?
The album was very UK-oriented. High energy and more like euro-pop infused R&B. Record companies tend to service European audiences with different singles other than the US audience often as well.
