INDUSTRY NEWS: JAY-Z TO RELEASE "THE BLUEPRINT 3" ON SEPT. 11

According to Billboard Magazine, Jay-Z is slated to release "The Blueprint 3" on September 11, 2009. His long awaited LP, (to those that track Jay-Z's moves) will finally see a release through his newly formed imprint Roc Nation via Atlantic Records, after buying out his contract with Def Jam for five million dollars.

The fact that the album will be released through Atlantic Records is big surprise to industry insiders. It was thought that Jay was going to sign with mega concert promoter, Live Nation (hence the name Roc Nation), for as much as 150 million dollars. Then reports said that Jay-Z was going moving over to Sony's Epic records with Roc Nation. Nevertheless, the Atlantic deal is just for one album so perhaps Jay is just stalling until he finds the best deal suited for him.
